Support students and assessment teams
Intercom gives students quick access to help during learning and exams. Use it to answer common questions, share guidance, and resolve issues without leaving the portal.
It also supports educators, managers, and markers during assessment delivery. This helps your team provide timely help when it matters most.
Widget visibility
When you enable your Intercom integration, your widget appears for:
Students
Educators, managers, and markers
Admins see Synap's Intercom widget instead. This keeps your support conversations separate from Synap admin support.
This installation method should work out of the box, but we recommend setting your ID verification key which adds an additional layer of security. To do this, go to your Settings > Integrations page. In ther Intercom box, follow the instructions to find your Intercom ID verification key and enter it into the box provided.
