🔐Exam Attempts Passcodes

Exam Attempts Passcodes are here to provide greater control for invigilated exams.

When using Locked exam attempts, you can now enable the option for users to unlock their attempt with a unique passcode. This is especially useful for:

  • In-person invigilated exams – share the passcode with the invigilator to ensure only candidates present in the exam room can start their attempt.

  • Online invigilated exams – provide the passcode to the invigilator, who can distribute it once candidates are verified.

How it works:

  • Enable passcodes in the Security tab of your exam settings, under the Locked security option.

  • A random passcode is automatically generated.

  • Users must enter this passcode to unlock and start their exam attempt.

This feature adds an extra layer of security, helping ensure that only authorised candidates can access the exam at the correct time.
