โ“Question based marking

Let markers score/mark by questions or by entire attempts, designed to streamline your markings so users can mark the same questions in one.

Weโ€™re excited to introduce Question-Based Marking, a powerful new feature designed to make exam marking more efficient and streamlined!

With Question-Based Marking, markers/scores can now review and score exam attempts by individual questions rather than navigating through the entire exam attempt. This feature is particularly helpful for markers who are responsible for specific questions within an exam, allowing them to focus solely on the responses for those questions.

Question based marking is only available via the markers inbox. You can turn this on by going to your portal settings > User access > Enable the page and ask your markers to refresh their pages.

How to Use Question-Based Marking:

  1. Navigate to the Markers Inbox: Start by accessing your markers inbox as usual.

  2. Select the โ€˜Question Markingโ€™ Button: Located just above candidate attempts, this button updates the inbox to show all available questions for marking.

  3. Switch Between Marking Modes: Markers can toggle between marking by candidate attempt or question from the markers inbox.

Final Step: Submitting Marks

After marking by questions, markers will need to return to candidate marking to submit final marks for each attempt. Ensure all questions within an attempt are marked before submission.

We believe this new feature will greatly enhance your marking experience by making the process faster and more focused.
