#### Drag and drop : Strict Match

When Strict Match is used on drag and drop each option can only be used once and each blank must be filled with the correct answer in the correct position. The classic example of this is a sentence like this "“The *\_\_1\_\_* brown *\_\_2\_\_* jumps” → 1 = quick, 2 = fox

<figure><img src="https://3316915154-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2F-MkgvUeCmTPeNouRxGPC%2Fuploads%2FgiiO2D8HMW6xdEzXt3Eo%2FScreenshot%202025-09-18%20at%2014.22.00.png?alt=media&#x26;token=030c8d42-6aa9-4ed1-96c0-47c34e2c81cf" alt=""><figcaption><p>Strict Match example </p></figcaption></figure>

#### Drag and drop :  Repeats Allowed&#x20;

When Repeats Allowed is used on drag and drop answer options remain available after use, so students can select the same response multiple times. Each blank still has one correct answer in a specific order. An example of this would be to complete this sentence “The name of the UB40 hit song is \`*\_\_1\_\_ \_\_2\_\_ \_\_3\_\_*” → 1 = Red, 2 = Red, 3 = Wine.

#### Drag and drop : Flexible Order

When Flexible Order is used on drag and drop each option can only be used once. But the order in which the answers are placed doesn't matter. The correct response is treated as a set - all correct values must be present, in any position. An example of this would be to complete this sentence: "“The colours of the American flag are *\_\_1\_\_, \_\_2\_\_ , \_\_3\_\_*” → correct set: Red, White, Blue or Blue, White, Red etc, the order the responses are given in doesn't matter&#x20;
